As a typical propertied class man, He will not pleased with a little bunk_berth, He had surpassed England, his goal is ultramarine market, not only the market people had established, but also the remote parts people never discover. He was intent on nothing but profit, and full with wild ambition, He would stint no effort to take a large risk starting an undertaking just like a lifelike individual enterpriser. As for the writer, Daniel Defoe (1660--1731), He also begun his career with business, and ended it with business. He maintained developing foreign trade by every possible means. So he usually describe a picture like this in his work, every place of the world, no matter how far it is, could arouse Robinson's mention. As a spokesman for the bourgeoisie, Defoe's novel reflects the thought of seeking profit, outward expansion. He never glosses over his characteristic, and exactly the same Robinson he created. Through the novel, the only part that makes people feel puzzled is the part of deserted island;we were told how Robinson changed the natural environment, improved living conditions. It seems that we come into another boundary, there is no exploit, no exploitee, and here Robinson earn his own living. This is only "Robinson allegory", it is not the reality mirror of capitalistic society, and it is only an illusion in aesthetics of Defoe. The novel help us quite a lot to recognize the capitalism.The thought of absolute individualism especially the private enterprise it manifested had a relation with the exploiting system of capitalism.
