Chapter 1 Introduction
1.2 Motivation
The basic corporate philosophy of supply chain management is to ensure thelong-term interests and sustainable development of supply chain members in the initialstrategic system by optimizing the allocation and integration of resources among members(Croom, 2005). The application and deepening of supply chain management has promotedthe market competition model of enterprises, from the competition between individualenterprises to the competition between supply chains and the overall strength of the supplychain. Supply chain management is not only an effective tool and means to improve the economic efficiency and competitiveness of enterprises, but also a strategic concept (D'Aleo,2015). Thus, it is importance of explore the influence of supply chain management strategy.Logistics performance is a key element to promote national economic development.Although domestic research is slightly inferior to foreign countries in terms of theoreticalinnovation and contribution, it is weak in analyzing my country's logistics performance andthe links are more targeted. Judging from the existing academic thoughts, logisticsperformance evaluation research can be roughly divided into three directions: nationallogistics performance evaluation, industry logistics performance evaluation and enterpriselogistics performance evaluation (Fernando & Chukai, 2018). The research on enterpriselogistics performance evaluation uses hierarchical analysis, balanced scorecard, dataenvelopment analysis and other methods to measure the performance of the enterprise andthe logistics link in the enterprise, thereby improving the logistics performance andenhancing the competition of the enterprise force (Gunasekaran & Ngai, 2004).
Chapter 3 Conceptual Model and Hypotheses
As the main body of current market competition, the supply chain is anorganizational network composed of many companies that cooperate. The operation of thesupply chain can improve the performance and operational capabilities of the companies onthe chain. To put it simply, the supply chain will cooperate with many organizationsincluding suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, users, etc. for unified managementand collaborative operation, so that all resources in the supply chain can be optimallyallocated in each enterprise, and logistics, information transmission, business efficiency, etc.,which improve the overall efficiency of the supply chain and promote the logisticperformance of focal enterprises.
Enterprise logistics performance refers to the logistics operation efficiency of theenterprise and the logistics performance of the operator during a certain operating period,which is the comparison between the labor consumption and labor occupation of theenterprise in the process of organizing the logistics operation according to the customer'srequirements and the logistics value created. Enterprise logistics performance managementis to enhance logistics performance by strengthening the behavior and behavior process ofenterprise logistics performance, that is, the planning, organization, command, supervisionand adjustment of the production and formation of logistics performance in the wholeprocess of logistics operation. Enterprise logistics performance is produced under thepremise of meeting logistics needs. Logistics demand is the basis for modern enterprises to engage in logistics services, which directly determines and affects the logistics performanceof modern enterprises. Only through the logistics services of modern enterprises can it besatisfied that both parties can reduce costs, improve the level of operation and management,establish a partnership, and achieve a "win-win" of benefits through professional andmodern logistics services.
Chapter 6 Discussion
6.1 Key findings
In this paper, it is found that supply chain management strategy has a positive impacton logistics performance; supply chain management strategy has a positive impact onmarketing performance; supply chain management strategy has a positive impact onfinancial performance; logistics performance has a positive impact on marketingperformance; logistics performance has a positive impact on financial performance;marketing performance has a positive impact on financial performance. Supply chainmanagement is around the core enterprise, through the control of information flow, logistics,and capital flow, starting from purchasing raw materials, making intermediate products andfinal products, and finally sending the products to consumers through the sales network, thesupplier, manufacturing Suppliers, distributors, retailers, and end users are connected into awhole network chain structure of lean management functions. The supply chain is not only alogistics chain, information chain, and capital chain connecting suppliers to users, but also avalue-added chain. The value of materials in the supply chain is increased due to processessuch as processing, packaging, and transportation, bringing benefits to related companies . Inreality, most company managers regard supply chain management as the top 10 major thingsfor the company, because supply chain management can improve return on investment,shorten order fulfillment time, and reduce costs. To achieve efficient supply chainmanagement, the following seven principles of supply chain management must be done well.Divide the customer group according to the service characteristics required by the customer.
6.2 Actively change the management concept of the company
In the information age, network technology is widely used in all walks of life.Traditional supply chain management concepts are far from being able to meet the needs ofthe information age (Du & Zhang, 2018). Enterprises need to actively change theirmanagement concepts and establish a new concept that combines e-commerce withcorporate supply chains (Gedik, Medal, Rainwater, Pohl, & Mason, 2014). In addition,actively learn from the supply chain management experience of advanced enterprises, striveto achieve the goal of zero inventory of raw materials and cooperation with suppliers anddistributors, and identify problems in enterprise supply chain management in marketcompetition, and further optimize the supply chain management system (Guo, Guo, & Yuan,2015). And then enhance the market competitiveness of enterprises.
Chapter 7 Conclusion
This study explored the relationship between the supply chain management strategy,logistic performance, market performance and financial performance. We find that supplychain management strategy has a positive impact on logistics performance; supply chainmanagement strategy has a positive impact on marketing performance; supply chainmanagement strategy has a positive impact on financial performance; logistics performancehas a positive impact on marketing performance; logistics performance has a positive impacton financial performance; marketing performance has a positive impact on financialperformance.
This study contributes to the supply chain management literature by indicating theinfluence of supply chain management strategy. This paper linked supply chain managementstrategy, logistic performance, market performance and financial performance. Previousstudies mostly examine logistic performance from the industry level. This paper explores itfrom the firm level. Effective supply chain management strategies can reduce overalllogistics costs, speed up capital turnover and information transmission, and maximize therational use of supply chain resources. Moreover, this study gives implication to perfectingthe logistics management system of manufacturing enterprises. From the perspective oflogistics system operation, studying the influencing factors and influence relations of thelogistics operation performance of manufacturing enterprises is the basis for perfectingenterprises to conduct reasonable and efficient management of their system logistics(Houlihan, 1985).
